West Indies are all set to complete a 2-0 whitewash over hosts Bangladesh in the Sahara Cup Test Series. By Stumps on Day 4, Bangladesh did put up a brave fight but they were already out of the contest after conceding a massive first innings lead. The Tigers are still trailing behind by 35 runs and have just four wickets in hand. Their chances of forcing a draw are still alive though with wickets of Nasir Hossain, Mahmudullah and first innings centurion Abu Hasan in hand.

The fourth day saw West Indies pile up 648 for 9 before declaring its first innings. The declaration came after Shivnarine Chanderpaul got to 150 (from 282 balls with 12 fours and a six) just after lunch. By the completion of the afternoon session, Bangladesh who were trailing behind by 261 runs slipped to a disastrous 85 for 5 in 21 overs with Tino Best taking three wickets.

Just when the Windies were entertaining thoughts of an innings victory in the final session, came a defying partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Nasir Hossain. The pair put up a big stand of 144 runs before Shakib Al Hasan threw his wicket away on 97 by trying to get to his century with a greedy slog off Veerasammy Permaul at the stroke of Stumps. Shakib got his 97 in just 117 balls with 10 fours and a six. His partner Nasir Hossain is batting on a patient 64 (from 133 balls with 8 fours).
